Brianna Lakin

Hello everybody my name is Brianna Lakin. I was born and raised here in Bakersfield California. I grew up running the streets at age 13 and hanging out with the wrong people making extremely poor choices. My addiction began when I was 12 years old when I started to drink and smoke and progressed to IV heroin use by the time I was 15. Throughout my life I had periods of sobriety where I did really well, but eventually I would always find myself relapsing. I struggled with my identity and had no idea what my purpose in life was until I met Jesus in 2015 when I came to Teen Challenge and gave my heart and soul to the Lord. Since then I have been sober and stable in my life for the last 9 years. I have been serving in Ministry for the last 6 years and have now been raised up to do Outreach for our Kern Community as the New Life Outreach and prevention Office Manager. My desire is to see everyone that struggles with addiction or homelessness get help and claim victory in Jesus name.

Matthew 18:12-14

“What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? And if he finds it, truly I tell you, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off. In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should perish.
