Hello! My name is Tommy Roan and I am a staff member with Teen Challenge of Southern California. I just celebrated two years with San Diego Teen Challenge and am just a few months shy of hitting three months sober! I started smoking meth and using a substance called GHB when I was 25 years and did not stop until I was 37. My drug addiction took everything from me; I lost the trust of my parents, relationships with so many friends. I was lost, hopeless and nearly totally homeless. I found myself for a season sleeping out of my car at rest stops in Florida after I had lost yet another job due to my drug addiction. If it wasn't for the life saving ministry of Teen Challenge I would not be alive today. I found a deeper faith with the Lord and a calling at San Diego Teen Challenge I cannot explain in words. I get to use ALL of my talents and gifts the Lord has blessed me to shine for his glory and raise up new students in creative ways.
