Brianna Lakin

Hi there, my name is Brianna Lakin and I am the New Life Office Manager for Kern County Teen Challenge. I have worked for Teen challenge for more than seven years. this year is my 10 year anniversary of sobriety. September 1 of 2015 I came in through the doors of Teen challenge 85 pounds and detoxing cold turkey off of heroin and methamphetamines in which I used to be an IV user. My only hope at that time was to get the help that I needed to overcome addiction. What I got was deliverance from all the hurt pain and trauma that I experienced throughout my life what I got was a deep personal relationship with Jesus Christ that helped to change the trajectory of my entire life because this program was free. I was able to get the help I needed at no cost to myself. I had nothing to give but everything to gain and because nothing was expected of me. I had the freedom to just lay everything down at the feet of Jesus today I get to go back to the streets and serve people that are struggling in their own addiction by offering them hope and help right where they are at. If you donate to my walk for Recovery, the funds stay here in Kern County to help Teen challenge in our New Life outreach endeavors. Please help me help those that are struggling on the streets. God bless you for any donation.
